Initial Application Status

When will I hear something?

You will be notified of your status via your Texas State email account in the month following submission of your application.
That email will provide detailed instructions about your next steps.

What does my status mean?

Your graduation application prompts our Advising Center staff to review your Degree Audit.
Based on your completed and in-progress coursework, we are projecting whether you are on track to have all degree requirements satisfied.

APPROVED APPLICATION
If your application was approved, you are on track to complete all degree requirements by the end of the semester and eligible to participate in the upcoming Commencement ceremony.
Approved applications will be revisited after grades post to verify that all requirements are met for awarding a degree.

DISAPPROVED APPLICATION
If your application was disapproved, you will not complete all degree requirements by the end of the semester and are ineligible to participate in the upcoming Commencement ceremony.
Disapproved applications will not be revisited after grades post; you must reapply for graduation in a future semester to be awarded a degree.

If you have proof of outstanding coursework to warrant updating of your status:
Refer to your notification email for detailed instructions and deadlines.
