How to Gain Approval to Test and How to Register

1. Verify that you are eligible for the exams and have met practice test requirements.

2. E-mail Judy Cuevas at jc36@txstate.edu for approval to test. You must provide the following information:

YOUR FULL NAME, STUDENT ID NUMBER, PERMANENT E-MAIL ADDRESS, DATE OF BIRTH, AND THE TExES EXAMS YOU WILL BE TAKING.

3. Once you have received approval from Judy to test, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN YOUR UNIQUE TEA ID NUMBER -- YOU WILL NEED IT TO REGISTER.

4. Register for the TExES online with ETS. Read the quick start guide at the bottom of the ETS TExES registration page. You will need your unique TEA ID number to register. SELECT UNIVERSITY INITIAL AS YOUR ROUTE. You can only reigster for the exams we have approved you to take. Detailed registration instructions can be found on the ETS website, www.texes.ets.org Any requests for special accommodations must be made with ETS at least six weeks in advance.
