If you are planning to student teach in the Spring of 2009, you MUST attend one of the following meetings to apply for student teaching.
Student Teaching is the required culminating experience of the Teacher Certification process. This is a one-semester (six credit hours), unpaid, full-time experience in a local public school classroom. No other courses should be taken with Student Teaching without prior approval from the Director-Center for Student & Professional Service, in the College of Education.
We use many districts all down the IH35 corridor to place student teachers, and each semester districts are subject to change. Below you will find the districts that we use most of the time. When you apply for student teaching you will be allowed to chose TWO AREAS. Please note that secondary(8-12) student teachers may not go to the out of area districts.
