Kappa Delta Pi

The Eta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi at Texas State University has been named a winner in the Achieving Chapter Excellence (ACE) Program from Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education. The Eta Zeta Chapter received the award on November 1, 2007 during the opening session of the organization’s 46th Biennial Convocation in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Eta Zeta Chapter competed for the rigorous award which recognizes Kappa Delta Pi chapters that exhibit outstanding programming during a two-year period in support of the Society’s mission and ideals. Only twenty-two out of 567 chapters around the world received the ACE Award.

The Eta Zeta Chapter holds monthly professional development meetings for its members at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses. In addition, members participate in service projects and conduct an initiation ceremony each semester.

Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi is a dynamic learning community that recognizes and enhances growth in scholars and leaders. The Society’s vision is advanced through its four ideas of Fidelity to Humanity, Science, Service, and Toil.
