CERTIFICATION

The student seeking licensure to teach in Texas will be required to have a Certification Plan prepared at the College of Education Academic Advising Center, ED 2143.  It is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily.  The telephone number is 512-245-3050.

A certification student may also be required to take additional course work in a teaching field or to satisfy certification requirements.  The student must also pass the certification exam, the TExES (Texas Examinations of Educator Standards) both in professional development and in each teaching field(s) for which licensure is sought.  For additional information visit the Advising Center website: http://www.education.txstate.edu/advising
