The TSRA Lone Star Award and the IRA Honor Council Award programs recognizes local, special interest, and student councils that organize and conduct well-rounded programs serving the council members, the community, the state/provincial association, and the IRA. The San Marcos Student Reading Council is a student organization at Texas State University located in San Marcos, Texas. We are affiliated with the Texas State Reading Association and the International Reading Association. Our goal is to promote literacy at the local, state and national level.
