Research Leadership Committees






Research Committee, Division of Educational Research


Mission:
The mission of the Research Committee is to foster a culture of scholarship by promoting scholarly
research and related activity within the College of Education.

Major goals:
  1. Promote dissemination of research through professional journals and research meetings
  2. Recommend policies and practices for collecting and sharing information on faculty scholarly activities
  3. Recommend policies and practices for collecting and sharing information on tiered classification systems for evaluating journals and other appropriate media
  4. Collaborate with other COE committees and councils to carry out certain Research Committee activities.
  5. Foster research collaboration with other universities and community or civic organizations.



Grants and Contracts Committee, Division of Educational Research


Mission:
The mission of the Grants and Contracts Committee is to increase the amount of external funding
awarded to faculty within the College of Education.

Major goals:
  1. Increase the number of faculty who seek and receive external funding
  2. Assist faculty with management and implementation once funding is received


Professional Development Committee, Division of Educational Research


Mission:
The mission of the Professional Development Committee is to support the scholarly work of faculty
through professional development.

Major goals:
  1. Plan, develop, and coordinate activities that advance faculty growth in the knowledge and skills specific to their research interests
  2. Recognize members for exemplary contributions
  3. Secure competent researchers/leaders for the college to ensure an effective support structure for the college
