Faculty Fellows Program Overview
The College of Education is pleased to invite tenured associate professors to participate in the Faculty Fellows Program. This program is designed to support tenured associate professors who would like more time to: 1) devote to a research project that will lead to a scholarly publication, 2) write a research-based manuscript for a peer-reviewed journal, and/or 3) prepare an external grant proposal to fund a scholarly research project.
Goals
The goal of the program is to provide a resource (in the form of release time) to tenured associate professors who are engaged in the scholarly work necessary for promotion to full professor and are also assuming substantial service obligations and responsibilities that demand considerable time. The goal of the Faculty Fellows Program is to provide tenured associate professors the equivalent of one course release during either the fall or spring semester to devote to scholarly activities.
Expectations
The success of this program is dependent on the selection of faculty members who are actively committed to and engaged in research and scholarly work.

Eligibility
All tenured associate professors in the COE are eligible to apply for a Faculty Fellowship. Preference will be granted to first-time applicants. There is no limit to the number of times that a tenured associate professor may participate in the program.
Department Endorsement
Acceptance into the program is dependent upon the willingness of the participant’s department chair to release the Faculty Fellow recipient from one course during either the fall or spring semester.
