Central Texas Writing Project

The Central Texas Writing Project (CTWP)

The Central Texas Writing Project (CTWP) is one of nearly 200 university-based sites of the National Writing Project. The CTWP was started in 1998 and has developed a network of more than 350 exemplary teachers of writing in the central Texas area. Like all National Writing Project sites, the CTWP hosts an annual 5-week intensive Summer Institute for K-college teachers and is funded through the U.S. Department of Education. In addition, the CTWP hosts a number of events throughout the year. These include youth writing camps, professional development for teachers, writing retreats, an annual teachers’ conference, and one-week open institutes.
