If you're looking for additional resources following your New Student Orientation advising appointment, we've provided some links below that may ease your transition to Texas State.

  • Access

    • Texas State Email, known as Bobcatmail, is a part of Office 365. You can find more information on how to access your Bobcatmail by visiting the Division of Information Technology (DOIT) website. 

    • Your NetID (ex: abc123) gives you access to university resources, such as CatsWeb and TRACS.

      You will use your Student ID number (ex: A0#######) to schedule an advising appointment and to communicate with your Advisor.

    • To check for holds on your account, log in to your Texas State Self-Service account via Catsweb > Student > Student Records > View Holds.

  • Classes

    • To access the Planner Notes from your advising appointment, log in to your Texas State Self-Service account via Catsweb > Student > Degree Audit > Planner.

      NOTE: Accessibility of Planner Notes can vary based on the web browser you use. Google Chrome and Internet Explorer are recommended. 

    • See the Registration tab on our website for more information on how to register, how to use Bobcat Schedule Builder, and how to waitlist.

    • You can submit a substitution request through our College of Education Advising Center website by selecting Degree Planning > Majors and Programs > Program > and scrolling to the bottom of the page. This is not a guarantee your request will be approved, but in the meantime avoid enrolling in anything for which you think you may have prior credit.

      You can submit a closed class request through our website by selecting Registration > Closed Classes

      Check your Texas State email regularly for updates.
