Secondary Education

The secondary education program develops teacher leaders who will make significant contributions in schools and other educational settings. The program offers eight program options:  

  • Master of Education in Secondary Education with Teacher Certification
  • Master of Education in Secondary Education
  • Master of Education in Secondary Education, Teaching Advanced Academics Concentration
  • Master of Education in Secondary Education, Educational Technology Concentration
  • Master of Education in Secondary Education, Talent Development Concentration
  • Master of Arts in Secondary Education
  • Master of Arts in Secondary Education, Talent Development Concentration
  • Teacher Recruitment Program (TRP)

  • The mission of the Secondary Education Program is to prepare culturally responsive educators at an advanced level to meet the challenges of the 21st century by (a) enhancing instructional, leadership, inquiry, and collaborative expertise; (b) expanding knowledge, understanding, and application of current research; and (c) using technology to make advancements in the teaching-learning process.
