Rebecca Jackson, Ph.D.

Dr. Rebecca Jackson is Professor and Director of the MA major in Rhetoric and Composition in the Department of English, and core faculty in the Doctoral Program in Developmental Education. Dr. Jackson earned her Ph.D. in English--Rhetoric and Composition specialization--at Texas A&M University. She teaches graduate courses in composition theory and pedagogy, writing center studies, and research methods. Her book (with Drs. Nicole Caswell and Jackie Grutsch McKinney), The Working Lives of New Writing Center Directors, was published by Utah State University Press in 2016. Dr. Jackson has also published articles in numerous edited collections and journals, including Rhetoric Review, Writing Center Journal, Composition Studies, and Praxis. She is currently working on a longitudinal study of writing center directors' job satisfaction and an edited collection on autoethnography in writing studies.
