Texas State Research Enhancement Program

Application Information for Research Enhancement Program (REP)

Application closes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018

Texas State's Research Enhancement Program (REP) is an internally funded grant competition intended to encourage and provide support for faculty research and other creative activities. All full-time tenured, tenure-track, and clinical faculty may apply as PIs; senior lecturers, may serve as co-PIs. Individuals may apply for a maximum of $8,000; two or more eligible faculty, for a maximum of $16,000. Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

REP’s mission is to contribute to the greater body of knowledge in all disciplines through research, scholarship and creative expression. These awards are very useful in piloting research ideas and methodologies, and collecting the data necessary to apply for larger external grants. In recent years, COE faculty have been successful in receiving awards (see document below) and we encourage all COE faculty to consider applying. Please note that first-time tenure-track Principal Investigators receive bonus points during the review process.

The College of Education Research Office staff is available to assist you in preparing your application:

♦ Stephanie Korcheck, Research Coordinator for Proposal Development, has prepared a proposal checklist and can assist with the development of your research project and preparation of the narrative and abstract. Please contact her if you are thinking about applying to receive the checklist.

♦ Alex Lengefeld, Research Coordinator for Post-Award Administration, can assist with preparing your budget and budget justification

Please let us know how we can help you submit a competitive application!
