Staff Employee of the Month
nominations due by the 7th of each month for the following month's award

This monthly award provides $500 with additional perks and recognition to a staff member who represents quality service at Texas State. The nominee must be regular full- or part-time staff employees, and have worked at Texas State for at least one year. Anyone may nominate an eligible employee, but the committee will not accept self-nominations. See UPPS No. 04.04.33 for more information.

Mariel M. Muir Excellence in Mentoring Awards
nominations due by January 31

The Mariel M. Muir Excellence in Mentoring Award honors one faculty member and one staff member for their dedication to mentoring students, faculty or staff.

Angelika Lester Wahl - Staff Diversity Award
nominations due late April/early May

This annual award provides $200 to a staff member whose life, work ethic, and community service have demonstrated their efforts and dedication to enriching and embracing diversity.  Diversity as stated in FSS/PPS No. 04.12 is a process to include all individuals regardless of differences that set individuals apart.  These differences include but are not limited to race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or class.  The practice and implementation of these ideals is the basis of this award.  One award will be made each year to a university staff member who is employed full-time and exemplifies these ideals.

Earl L. Moseley, Jr. - Staff Community Service Award
nominations due late April/early May

This annual award provides $200 to a staff member who has undertaken significant community service in San Marcos, Hays County, or nearby communities over the previous academic year.  One award will be given each year to a full-time staff member who exemplifies outstanding community involvement.

Deborah and James Matthews - Excellence in Collaboration/Outreach Award
nominations due late April/early May

This annual award provides $200 to a staff member whose work over the previous academic year exemplifies an ability to collaborate with others in order to achieve overall excellence in service to Texas State University.  Evidence of collaborative projects and service will be the basis for this award.  One recipient will be selected each year from full-time staff members who exemplify these qualities.

Rodrigo Rodriguez - Outstanding Custodian Award
nominations due late April/early May

This award provides $200 annually to a custodial staff member whose actions, deeds and work ethic over the previous year exemplifies overall excellence in service to Texas State University.  Superior work ethics and commitment to job performance will be the basis for this award.  One recipient will be selected each year from full time custodial staff members who exemplify these qualities.
