Here are a few extra resources for teachers.

SeaWorld- Has private tours that allow children to see baby penguins and see the eggs.  These tours are
offered during the off season so the park is not open for the rides or the water park.

Adoption- This is the website of the Wildlife Adoption Center, your class can adopt a penguin, a penguin family, penguin colony, a penguin mom and chick.  The prices range from $25-$100.  Students can raise money to adopt either option.  This allows students to become involved and learn about conservation.  the kits come with a certificate of adoption, photo, penguin fact sheet, and some come with a plush animal.

Monterey Bay Aquarium- The aquarium provides a live feed of its penguin exhibit from 7am-7pm PST.  This is a great way for children to take a virtual field trip in the comfort of your own classroom.  Feeding times are 10:30 am & 3:00pm PST.  Students love to see them waddle around.
