This week in Student Teaching, Fall 2018

This is the perfect time to be completing mandatory requirements outlined in your Student Teaching syllabus which can be found on the OEP Student Teaching/Intern Resources page:

Student teaching at Texas State University is not covered by professional liability insurance through Texas State University or the public school district. Proof of insurance (a screenshot of your notice of membership or an email acknowledgement from the organization) must be uploaded in ePortfolio.

There are three professional associations which provide this service – this week’s highlighted group is ATPE The Association of Texas Professional Educators. Go to their web site at: http://www.atpe.org/en/Member-Benefits and simply click on the “Join/Renew” tab. Select the “Student Teacher Membership” option – which this association provides at zero cost to you.

Take the time to check out all the wonderful tools they have to help you achieve success by clicking on their “Resources” tab on this web site!
