Eggs Eggs
Everywhere is more than just hunting for Easter Eggs and
looking at
chickens. It is about the wonder and excitement of what happens in an
egg. Chickens Aren’t the Only Ones, by
Ruth Heller introduces the many animals that lay eggs. This GEMS Guide
introduces students in Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade, a
very
basic introduction to biology and life science. Students will look at
water
animals as well as land animals that lay eggs. The Guide explores many
animals
including: fish, turtles, birds and snakes. This guide goes deeper into
the
life of animals that lay eggs. This guide will help students understand
egg-laying as well as hatching. Students
will get to observe a live box turtle and a fish. Math, literature and
physical
sciences are incorporated within the lessons. Students will get to
sort,
organize, act out, and even graph while exploring different shapes and
movements. Plastic eggs and other objects will be used in
experimentation on
flat and inclined surfaces. They will also get to learn more about the
animals
that lay eggs and their role in the life cycle. |
