Target Grade Level: 4th grade
Overview of Goals & activities:

Students will study our moon and compare our own moon with Jovian moon orbits. Students will learn about Galileo’s telescopic observations of Jupiter and its moons by his observing Jupiter’s moons. The class will be able to learn about the characteristics of Jupiter and its moons and will make scale models in order to better understand the size and distance of the solar system and Jupiter system. The class will get to experiment in order to learn how craters are formed. As a class, students will be able to design scientific explorer’s settlements on each of the Jovian moons.
