Description

Students acquire the knowledge of the river systems by investigating the concepts of erosion, pollution, toxic waste, and human manipulation of rivers. They also gain an understanding of controlled experimentation by creating models representing the river system. This is done by using a dripper system and diatomaceous earth. They are better able to understand rivers as dynamic, ever-changing systems by doing this experiment.
